About Me.

I am a junior studying industrial design at University of Washington. I grew up north of Seattle in the small island town of Anacortes where I was surrounded by nature, leading to a passion for the outdoors. I spend my time outside of design rock climbing, backcountry skiing, hiking and biking as well as being creative with my hands. From a young age I was encouraged to be expressive through music, photography, filmmaking, art, wood and metalworking. For the first two years at UW I studied to become an oceanographer, but realized that while I loved science and the ocean, I was loosing the creative aspect of my life that I loved so much. I took an introductory design course and in a matter of weeks shifted my life plan to become an industrial designer, where I could join my love for the outdoors and environment with creativity.
